My high school experience so far has been really good. Ever though Wayzata high school in such a big school with almost 4,000 students, every students seems to be also to be seen and helped to reach their full potential. I am able to choose classes that directly correlate to my interest such as interior design and architectural design classes. There are many AP classes available and classes that challenge me to be the best I can be. Something I would change though is the pressure that is put on you at this school. Since Wayzata is very high on academics and sports alike in the state of Minnesota and the country, it is a highly competitive school that leaves students, including me, under great pressure to get straight A’s in incredibly challenging classes. Even if you feel like you are smart, there always seems to be someone ‘better’ than you. I would like to see that pressure lifted, encouraging students to be their best, but not making them think that their best is not good enough.

My first year of Wayzata High School as a freshman is coming to an end and I have really enjoyed my experience. All my teachers have been great and the workload is just the right amount. My teachers help me anytime if I need it and all my peers are there for me too. Everyone here is very respectful and I’m glad that I am here. I can’t wait for the next there years here. I’m excited to get to know more teachers, people, and knowledge.
