What is the difference between Remy hair and donor hair? ›
The hair comes from multiple donors whose hair would have previously been chemically treated. Remy Hair is the better of the two because the cuticles are aligned in the same direction to avoid additional traction between with the hair follicles. It is coated in silicone to keep it smoother for longer.
What does unprocessed Remy hair mean? ›
Unprocessed hair still has the cuticle intact; it has not been chemically processed. The hair is also usually from a single donor. Each strand of hair faces the same direction, not causing tangling. The hair would also be considered remy hair, also known as “cuticle hair.”

The cuticles in machine-processed hair may not be as intact or aligned as in Virgin Remy hair. Although machine-processed hair is still considered Remy hair, it may require extra care to prevent tangling and maintain its quality and appearance.

Grade 7A is a high-quality Remy hair that has all the cuticles intact, often referred to as “Double Drawn”. Such extensions are thick, strong, and those will last for up to 12 months. Grade 7A hair will shed and tangle much less than the other types and can be dyed on your own.
