REMY hair is a smoother, shinier, and healthier appearance than NON-REMY. This hair feels amazing even after multiple times being washed. Most of our clients can get a year or two of wear with REMY hair still looking great. The investment is great but well worth it.

However, what synthetic hair offers in ease and appearance, it lacks in versatility. It is worth bearing in mind that due to synthetic hair being effective in retaining shape, it can be difficult to re-style synthetic extensions. Synthetic hair also does not last as long as Remy human hair extensions.

The hair comes from multiple donors whose hair would have previously been chemically treated. Remy Hair is the better of the two because the cuticles are aligned in the same direction to avoid additional traction between with the hair follicles. It is coated in silicone to keep it smoother for longer.

Unprocessed hair still has the cuticle intact; it has not been chemically processed. The hair is also usually from a single donor. Each strand of hair faces the same direction, not causing tangling. The hair would also be considered remy hair, also known as “cuticle hair.”

As you may have already guessed, non-remy hair is hair that does not have all the strands running in the same direction. In general, the absence of organization tends to lower the cost of the hair extensions. However, they don't look as natural and they tend to tangle more often than remy hair.

In addition, the hair gets matted and tangles easily. However, Remy hair extensions do not suffer from these problems. As the hair goes through little processing and strands flow in the natural direction they grew, it is less prone to tangling and becoming matted.

The cuticles in machine-processed hair may not be as intact or aligned as in Virgin Remy hair. Although machine-processed hair is still considered Remy hair, it may require extra care to prevent tangling and maintain its quality and appearance.

Grade 7A is a high-quality Remy hair that has all the cuticles intact, often referred to as “Double Drawn”. Such extensions are thick, strong, and those will last for up to 12 months. Grade 7A hair will shed and tangle much less than the other types and can be dyed on your own.
