Kiwi Mojito Recipe – a refreshing summer co*cktail made with simple syrup, white rum, sparkling water, mint leaves, lime juice and fresh ripe kiwi fruit. Served over ice. This co*cktail could be made year round. It is festive and perfect for parties and celebrations. Ready in 2 minutes, if you have the simple syrup ready to use.
If you have been following me for a while, you may know that I’m a huge mojito fan. From the classic lime and mint combination, that is my favorite, I’ve tried making berry mojitos, watermelon mojito, nectarine and strawberry, blueberry mint or blood orange and raspberry. Thinking about flavor combinations, this kiwi mojito will be amazing if turned into strawberry kiwi mojito.
And all these unique flavors are pretty amazing and pair well with nice appetizers like nachos or fried shrimp.
How to make
This is a mojito made with white rum (I prefer Bacardi) and simple syrup. If you don’t have simple syrup, (assuming you can’t purchase it or don’t have time to make some), you can use just plain white or brown sugar. About 1 tablespoon per drink.

Aged rum can be used instead of white rum.
Not a fan of rum?
You can make this like and kiwi sparkling co*cktail with vodka, instead. Prepared this way, it will not be called a mojito, but it will be cool and refreshing.
Ingredients:
- ice
- white rum (I used Bacardi)
- simple syrup (or sugar)
- sparkling water (soda water)
- mint leaves
- lime juice
- kiwi
- lime wedges for garnishing
Instructions for making:
In a tall glass add mint leaves, kiwi slices, lime juice, rum and simple syrup. With a muddles or a wooden spoon, muddle to extract juices from mint leaves and kiwi.
Add ice to the glass and top with soda water. Garnish with the remaining kiwi slices, mint leaves or lime wedges.
Can you make this mojito alcohol free?
Before getting pregnant and becoming a mom, I used to find this question a little weird. Why make a virgin mojito, a.k.a. mocktail? But not everyone wants alcohol in their co*cktail.
But I know better now and I’m also into alcohol free co*cktails. This kiwi lime drink tastes awesome, minus the alcohol.
You can just leave the white rum out and you are left with a virgin kiwi mojitos, that are sweet and bubbly.

Ingredients
- 8 fresh mint leaves
- 1 kiwi, sliced
- juice from 1 lime
- 2 oz Bacardi white rum
- 2 oz simple syrup
- 1 cups of ice
- 1/2 cup soda water
