A flush of color on the cheeks is a perennial makeup classic, but have you considered the same approach for your nails? The latest trend to hit our fingertips is “blush pink nails,” a term that currently has 45.3 million views (and counting) on TikTok. It taps perfectly into our current obsession with minimalist manicures, and Hailey Bieber is a fan of the look.

“Having a clean and simple manicure is super trendy right now,” agrees manicurist Alexandra Teleki, also known as The Hot Blend on Instagram. “Blush nails are a twist on ombré nails, but the design starts from a round shape in the center of the nail rather than from the top or bottom. It’s super elegant.”
Hailing from Korea, in its purest form, the trend sees nails painted first with a pale pink, sheer base. After that, a darker pink shade is applied in a circular shape to the center of the nail and diffused using either a sponge or nail brush. After that, a glossy top coat is applied.
Teleki preps nails using a base coat, then combines The Gel Bottle’s Cosmopolitan and Silk gel polishes on her clients, many of whom are requesting the technique right now. Admittedly trickier to try at home—but doable if you’re willing to experiment—her tip is to use a “small round eyeshadow brush or sponge to apply Peacćis Cosmos polish to the center of nails.”
